Sprouts Garbanzo Bean Organic Seeds (LG)

Cicer arietinum

Item #7809

LARGE PACKET

Garbanzo beans, also known as chickpeas, have been grown and enjoyed for thousands of years. This ancient ingredient is still a popular part of Asian, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisine. Garbanzo bean sprouts are easy to grow and delicious for snacking or adding to a variety of dishes. Rich in vitamins and minerals, they contain protein, plenty of fiber, calcium, iron, and vitamin C.

Sprouting is as easy as 1—2—3! Simply soak your Garbanzo Bean seeds in water for 8 to 12 hours, place them in your sprouting container, in a warm area (70°F), and rinse at least twice daily for about 3 to 4 days until roots are 1/16"–1/2" long. See inside the packet for more information about growing sprouts.

Sprout Seed Safety: A sample from each seed lot we receive is sent to an independent laboratory where it must test negative for foodborne pathogens including Escherichia coli (E. coli), Salmonella, Listeria, and Staphococcus aureus (Staph). Although disinfecting sprouts is not necessary, if you choose to do so, visit our Learn & Grow article on www.botanicalinterests.com for suggested disinfection methods.
