Cucumber Japanese Tasty Green Organic Seeds

Cucumber Japanese Tasty Green Organic Seeds

Cucumis sativus var. sativus (hybrid)

Item #3062

60 days. Tender, thin skin, burpless, and non-bitter—what else could you want in a cucumber? Japanese cucumbers are known for their slender, long shape, with thin, sweet skin, and very few, tiny seeds. Grow on a trellis to save space while growing straighter fruit (see inside packet). 'Tasty Green' is mildew resistant, too! Sure to become your new favorite.

This packet sows up to 6 ft. of trellised cucumbers

1/2"

Seed Spacing:
A group of 2 seeds
every 12"

Row Spacing:

When to sow outside: RECOMMENDED. 1 to 2 weeks after average last frost, and when soil temperature is at least 60°F, ideally 70°–90°F.

When to start inside: 2 to 4 weeks before average last frost. Cucumbers are sensitive to root disturbance; sow in biodegradable pots.

Harvesting: Do not let cucumbers get too big; plants stop producing if there are overly mature cucumbers on the vine. Pick regularly before fruits are bigger than optimal size (see variety information). Cut the stem rather than pulling at the fruit to break off. Once picked, immediately immerse in cold water to disperse “field heat”, which increases the quality and life of picked fruit.
